Based in Nashville, Tennessee, serving the Midwest, and destinations worldwide, Madi Taylor is a documentary-style photographer focused on connection, quiet beauty, and honest moments as they unfold. Born and raised in Indiana, her work is shaped by a deep appreciation for family connection, the outdoors, and the personal details—handwritten notes, inherited jewelry, familiar spaces, and the quiet rituals people return to—that bring a story to life.
Madi’s approach is rooted in documentary storytelling, guided by a strong attention to detail and an intuitive editorial eye. She works with a quiet, observant presence—allowing moments to unfold naturally while being intentional with composition, movement, and light. The result is imagery that feels honest and alive, yet carefully crafted.

A note from Madi:
From a young age, my understanding of love and loss was shaped by attending more funerals than weddings. This early exposure to grief made me appreciate the fleeting nature of life, prompting me to seek solace in old photographs. Those images became windows into the stories of the loved ones I lost too soon, igniting my desire to honor and preserve the stories of others through my lens.
My journey began in 2013 when I embraced my passion for storytelling through photography. What started as a shy girl's dream quickly evolved into a deep commitment to documenting the unique narratives of each couple I meet.
