Disney’s Boardwalk: A family trip with the Ditrinco Family

May 1, 2023

Oh man, let me tell you about the cutest photoshoot ever! I met up with Amanda, Charlie, and their little bundle of energy, Amelia, at Disney’s Boardwalk on a sunny 75-degree day. We had an absolute blast exploring the boardwalk and keeping up with Amelia as she ran around like a little superstar.

Amanda’s story just adds an extra layer of sweetness to this already adorable family photoshoot! It’s truly inspiring to see Amanda’s strength as she and Charlie have overcome the struggle of infertility and are now able to celebrate moments like this one with Amelia, their precious gift.

I am so honored that they reached out to me for a mini-session while they’re in town for Amelia’s second trip to Disney World since her first birthday. Disney is close to Amanda’s heart and has always been a place of comfort. The love for Disney is something we share, and it made our time together even more meaningful.

We started off by taking some awesome pictures while strolling around the boardwalk. Amelia was just too cute for words with her big, bright eyes and her infectious giggles. And let me tell you, that kid has some serious energy! But we managed to keep up with her and snap some amazing shots along the way, pink Mickey balloon attached.

We took a break to check out the view of the water and the Friendship boat cruising by. It was such a beautiful scene, as the magnolia trees were just beginning to bloom, giving off the sweetest scent. We snapped some pics of the family taking it all in, and it was just perfect.

But the best part of the day was when we hit the sand. It seemed as if Amelia had just discovered sand as she dug her little hands right in, digging, throwing, and sharing it with her mom to taste. While Amanda was not interested in tasting the sand, the joy on Amelia’s face was all that mattered to her.

We captured some incredible shots of her exploring and discovering the world around her, climbing on Dad’s shoulders as she trailed sand everywhere she went.

As we wrapped up the shoot, I couldn’t help but feel so grateful to be able to capture these amazing moments for Amanda, Charlie, and Amelia. It was a day full of fun, love, and lots of laughter, and I was honored to be a part of it.

In the end, it’s moments like these that make life so special. When you can pause and appreciate the little things, it reminds you of how beautiful life really is. And as a photographer, being able to capture these moments is what makes my job so incredible. I can’t wait to see what adventures await the next family I get to photograph!
